Dr. Matthew Sabo is a board-certified foot surgeon with 26 years of podiatry experience serving patients throughout western Pennsylvania. As founder and CEO of The Foot and Ankle Wellness Center of Western Pennsylvania, Matthew Sabo, DPM, sees patients from Mercer, Butler, Armstrong, and other nearby counties.
Matthew Sabo, DPM’s clinical work includes foot and ankle care, wound care, diabetic limb preservation, sports medicine, and reconstructive surgery. He uses advanced treatment technology and individualized care plans to address each patient’s needs. He also places patient education at the center of conversations about foot health, care options, and maintaining mobility.
Clinical research is an important part of Dr. Matthew Sabo’s professional work. He has served as a principal investigator or participant in 18 clinical trials involving foot, ankle, and wound care technologies. That involvement complements his ongoing work in private practice and his interest in incorporating emerging approaches responsibly.
Before establishing his current practice in 2007, Dr. Sabo practiced foot and ankle surgery in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. He completed a podiatric surgical residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He earned a doctor of podiatric medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
